Hi, my name is Raymond Fong and I am delighted and honored that you stopped by.
While I can’t promise that you’ll enjoy, appreciate, or agree with everything you read here, nor can I promise that I will be consistent in my writing (cadence, topic, length, etc.), I will promise you that I will be my authentic self.
If you’re a business owner, I believe I have some thoughts and insights that you may find insightful and perhaps even useful but certainly provoking. I hope my thoughts and insights can empower you to run your business better which in turn improve your life and those lives that your business serves.
And if you’re not a business owner, I hope to share with you some of my “Deep Thoughts” (and sometimes perhaps not as deep…) which will empower you to see things differently. These different perspectives, mine or others, ultimately allow us as humans to be able to relate and connect with one another better. And this in turn, allows us to get along better and even collaborate for the betterment of humanity at large.
As for my background… I immigrated here to the United States when I was 9 from Taiwan and from there on obtained a Bachelor’s of Science from Harvey Mudd College with a degree in engineering. While working full time in the aerospace industry I pursued a Master’s of Science from University of Southern California in computer engineering.
After working in the aerospace industry for ~5 years, my career path took a drastic turn in 2008 when I decided to dive into the world of marketing as a trainer, speaker, and consultant. I’ve had the honor and privilege of hosting events drawing several hundreds of business owner from around the world. I’ve also had the awesome opportunity to teach, train, and mentor thousands of entrepreneurs from around the world as well.
I’ve since co-founded a boutique growth hacking agency called Deviate Labs and, together with my business partner, have been featured “growth hackers” on various well-recognized media outlets. We consult with businesses from both the traditional and startup worlds including high profile clients.
Together with my business partner and co-author, I published book on growth hacking in 2017 called, “Growth Hacking: Silicon Valley’s Best Kept Secret” – you can pick up a copy on Amazon.
