In these trying political times, I find myself rattled by the conflicts that plague our nation today and the divide being experienced by this country. People are so busy with being “right” that the very idea of humanity is being challenged. I’ve identified 7 main “groups” in this political climate in an effort to identify our blind-spots – specifically, my own.
After the debacle that is the U.S. presidential election 2016, let’s take a minute to understand the motivation of both sides and why they voted for their associated “evils” – corruption vs bigotry. And with this understanding, perhaps we can stop labeling each other with hateful and dividing words.
There’s so much hate, anger, and intolerance leading up to this year’s U.S. presidential election… it’s disgusting and sad. I can’t wait for it to be over with although no matter what the outcome, it’s scary to think that the supporters of the other candidate will be outraged, angry, and intolerant.
Show me a person who clams to be “self made” and I’ll show you a person with an over-inflated ego and zero humility. There is NO such thing as a self made person…
Gotta love that line from Freddy Hayes, a character from the TV Show, “House of Cards.” It goes something like this, “I ain’t one for lookin’ back. Both eyes ahead.” This resonates with me and it obviously applies to failures… but this also applies to successes which is a nuance that too many folks miss. Let me explain.
